Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his unique mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. The singer's career has taken her all over the world, from Broadway to European concerts and festivals and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is a name that she has given her is Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta but her origins are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue a musical career singing and playing the piano at the church. Her music career started in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You A House 12 came out only in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and has become a staple of her live shows. Additionally, she was a part of The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She was named the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to be the director of the choral group for the stage production. Sunshine came to national interest during four consecutive shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
